The apartment is well situated, between Avenida da Boavista and Campo Alegre in one of the best areas of the city of Porto. It is in a business oriented / posh residential neighborhood in Porto. Despite being a little far from the city centre, you can still find great places to visit in the area such as the modern Casa da Música and the contemporary art museum Serralves (designed by the famous architect Siza Vieira). Another great spot is the Hall of Biodiversity at Porto's Botanical Garden, very entertaining for children. Due to the fact that this is a residential neighborhood, supermarkets, pharmacies and parking lots can be found literally a few meters away from the apartment. Transport is not an issue in this neighborhood as well due to the fact that there is a metro stop at the Casa da Musica, and plenty of bus stops that are scattered around the area.

The apartment is situated in the multicultural neighborhood of Mouraria. A wide array of restaurants, museums and plazas exist in this vibrant area. ROSSIO Rossio has been a traditional meeting point for the people of Lisbon dating back to the 18th century. Some of the cafés and shops in the square, such as the Café Nicola, were frequented by famous poets such as Manuel Maria Barbosa du Bocage. Other traditional shops include the Pastelaria Suíça and the Ginjinha, where the traditional Portuguese liqueur (Ginjinha) can be tasted. BAIXA (DOWNTOWN) Baixa is an elegant district that contains the grid of streets north of the famous Praça do Comércio, between Cais do Sodré, and the Alfama district beneath the São Jorge Castle. It then extends northwards towards the Rossio and Figueira squares, and one of the most important avenues in Lisbon, the 1100m long Avenida da Liberdade. You should definitely go to "Bufete Fase", in Santa Catarina street, and try the best "Francesinha" in Porto, a typical and original local dish. There many traditional shops nearby, highlighting the Rua de Santa Catarina, one of the longest and famous shopping streets of Porto, where you can find shopping mall "Via Catarina", or stop for coffee at the famous Café Majestic, the most emblematic and ancient city café.
