If you get the metro at the airport, get off in Trindade station and change to the yellow line - direction Santo Ovídio. The station you'll want to get out off then is Jardim do Morro or General Torres and you're just a fifteen minute walk away to comfort.

Famous for its Port Wine Cellars and stunning views of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia (or simply Gaia) is located on the other side of the Douro. It has a pretty promenade along the waterfront and is a great place to go for a walk and enjoy the remarkable views of the D. Luís I Bridge and the picturesque neighborhood of Ribeira and its terraced colorful houses.
