Localização
From the airport: Take the Metro Red Line (direction São Sebastião) and change to Green Line (direction Cais do Sodré) in Alameda station and exit in Cais do Sodré station. The property street is a 10-minute walk from the Cais do Sodré station, or you can go to Rua de São Paulo ( 3 minutes walk) and take the bus nº 714.
O bairro
Located in a historic area in Santos, the building is situated in a cosmopolitan neighborhood, full of life and animation, close to numerous points of interest and attractions. The property's convenient location also allows it to easily access the city's must-see tourist destinations. This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city and its full name Santos-O-Velho means "the old saints", as it was formerly connected to several religious convents and monasteries that were settled there in the 1500s. Today, it is a quiet area during the day where locals live and study, as there are several universities nearby. At night, it becomes a bit livelier and people often frequent the bars and restaurants in the area. Local Attractions: NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANCIENT ART This museum houses a remarkable collection of Portuguese and European art, from paintings to sculptures, silverware and decorative arts. It houses about 40,000 unique pieces of art of both national and international importance! BELVEDERE OF ROCHA CONDE DE ÓBIDOS Located in a garden (Jardim 9 de Abril) right next to this museum, this beautiful viewpoint offers a fantastic view of the Tagus/Tagus River. 24 DE JULHO AVENUE This busy main avenue hosts several bus stops, streetcar stops (Eléctrico 15 and Eléctrico 18) and provides access to the trains heading to the nearby coastal areas; Estoril and Cascais. SANTOS RIVER BANK This beautiful promenade is available right in front of the avenue and is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the river, the 25 de Abril bridge, and the port. Several discos and bars can also be found along the river banks, as well as some cafes and restaurants where you can have a late meal or a delicious brunch by the water! PINK STREET Situated near the Cais do Sodré metro station, the beautiful Rua Rosa guides you to some of Lisbon's most popular bars. The famous Pensão do Amor can also be found here, which is a spectacular bar dedicated to the art of love.
