Location

The best way to reach the house from Lisbon, is to catch a train to Sintra. From the train station, catch de bus "1253 Sintra (Estação)" until "Calçada São Pedro (Queijadas da Sapa)" bus stop.

The neighbourhood

Staying in Sintra means immersing yourself in one of Portugal’s most magical destinations. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this fairytale town is known for its pastel-colored palaces, misty forests, and romantic architecture that feels straight out of a storybook. Wander through cobbled streets lined with traditional pastry shops, local cafés, and artisan boutiques. Within easy reach, you’ll find iconic landmarks such as Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and the Moorish Castle — each offering breathtaking views over the hills and the Atlantic coastline beyond. Nature lovers will appreciate the lush Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, with scenic hiking trails, dramatic cliffs, and hidden beaches just a short drive away. Despite its historic charm, Sintra maintains a relaxed, village-like atmosphere — perfect for slow mornings, cultural exploration, and unforgettable sunsets. A stay here is not just about visiting monuments — it’s about experiencing romance, mystery, and timeless Portuguese beauty.

Getting around

You can walk 15-20min to reach the city center, or catch the "1252 Portela Sintra (Estação Sul)" bus. We do not recommend taking a car to the city center as it is highly difficult to find a place to park.
