The neighbourhood
This apartment is located in the safe and quiet neighborhood of Boavista. Despite being a little far from the city centre, you can still find great places to visit in the area such as the modern Casa da Música and the contemporary art museum Serralves (designed by the famous architect Siza Vieira). Another great spot is the Gallery of Biodiversity, the best museum for children in Porto. Due to the fact that this is a residential neighborhood, supermarkets, pharmacies and parking lots can be found literally a few meters away from the apartment! Transport is not an issue in this neighborhood as well due to the fact that there is a metro stop at the Casa da Musica, and plenty of bus stops that are scattered around the area. From Boavista you have a subway connection to the city centre at Casa da Musica. There you’ll find also plenty of bus lines.
Getting around
Most of the main attractions of Porto are located at an agreeable walking distance. The beautiful and magnificent "São Bento" train station is just a 3 minute walk away. From here, you can easily get to "Campanha" Train station, which is where trains from Lisbon and other major cities arrive. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the airport.
