Location
Those who arrive by plane can take the Metro from the airport. The directions are as follows; take the E line, get off at Trindade station and change to line D. End trip ( +/ - 30 minutes) at S. Bento station in the city center. Get out of the station and go up in a little street just in the right corner of São Bento. Several local and touristic buses pass through the area as well. We would suggest taking the 500, which allows you to travel to Foz and Matosinhos, the beach area (always a pleasant route!).
The neighbourhood
The Apartment is located in the historic area of Porto, in one of the most touristic areas, very close to the São Bento Station with its famous tile panels, next to the "Sé", a short distance from the Lello bookshop, Clérigos Tower, the Avenida dos Aliados and the most typical and well-known streets of Porto ( Rua de Santa Catarina, Rua das Flores, ... ) In a relaxing 10 minutes walk you can reach the marvellous Ribeira and the famous Dom Luis Bridge, which crosses the Douro River to the city of Gaia, on the left bank, where you can visit the cellars and taste the most famous wines world - the Port.
Getting around
You can easily access the metro and bus stops from the apartment as they are both located right in front of the São Bento Station. Since you are going to be based in the heart of Porto, you can easily walk around the city if you like. You even have the option of renting a bike downtown!
