ROUTE DESCRIPTION FROM FARO AIRPORT: -Leaving Faro airport follow signs to highway A22, direction "Espanha/Lisboa/Portimao/Albufeira“. -After approx. 9 km, take highway A22, direction "Lisboa/Portimao/Albufeira“, (NOT Olhao/Espanha !!). -Stay on this highway for 45km (do NOT take the exit to Lisboa!) -Take exit "Lagoa" and pass several roundabouts always heading in the direction "Lagoa“ and/or "Lagoa Sul". Do NOT take exit „Lagoa Norte“! -Once you enter the town of Lagoa you will encounter two larger roundabouts. Simply follow the signs to "Carvoeiro". -Pass the supermarket "Pingo Doce" on your right and keep following signs to "Carvoeiro". -Pass an ALDI and Apolonia supermarket on your left, always following signs to "Carvoeiro". -Keep on this road and pass the supermarket “Intermarche” on your right -Approx. 400 m after passing Intermarche supermarket, turn left at a crossroads, following signs to “Vale Centianes” -Take the first right, following signs to "Vale Centianes" -Stay on this road for 1.2 km until you reach a STOP sign at a crossroads. It's impossible to miss because the road is painted red! -Turn RIGHT, following signs to “Carvoeiro” again -Follow this road for 750m. On your left, you will see a small, orange sign “Aldeia das Chaminés” under a palm tree. You made it! -Turn into the property, then take the first turn right. The apartment is located in the building on your right. -Park anywhere in front of the building. Safe travels!
The neighbourhood
This property is located in Carvoeiro, this small fishing village is located in the municipality of Lagoa, an Algarve village cut by cliffs in front of the sea, the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere of Carvoeiro makes it an ideal place for families or friends during the summer. Right next to the beach you will find a wide range of restaurants, bars, and esplanades where you can enjoy great Algarvian gastronomy, drink a glass of wine or a cocktail, surrounded by an essence where you can breathe the sea air.
Getting around
Although everything in and around Carvoeiro just steps away from the apartment, the Algarve has much more to offer! Since public transportation is either non-existent or very slow, I highly recommend RENTING A CAR and exploring the Algarve on your own. Use the FREE PARKING PLACES directly in front of the apartment building and explore the Algarve stress-free and without timetables. I will be happy to help you with a rental car recommendation. For those who don't want to drive, there is a bus stop only 200m away! From there the 'Cliff Route' bus will take you to several beautiful beaches in the area, the small town of LAGOA, and one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the Algarve: FERRAGUDO! You can buy tickets on the bus. AIRPORTS ● Faro airport (FAO) is about 45-60 minutes drive away (62 km). ● Lisbon Airport (LIS) is about 2.5-3 hours away (270 km).
