Our flat is located in Miragaia. Its origins are medieval - the area was outside the city walls, so called “arrabaldes” (the suburbs), where the Jews and the Armenians from Porto used to live. That explains why our street is called "Monte dos Judeus" (Jew's Mount/Hill).

O nosso apartamento está localizado em Miragaia. As suas origens são medievais - a zona fora das muralhas da cidade, os chamados “arrabaldes” (os subúrbios), onde viviam os judeus e os arménios do Porto. É por isso que a nossa rua se chama "Monte dos Judeus".

If you are arriving by plane, take the metro at the airport (Line E - Purple) and switch to the yellow line (D) at Trindade towards the direction of Santo Ovídio. Exit at the S.Bento station and there get on the bus 500, get off at Alfandega bus stop. From there it's a 3 minute walk to the flat (using the escalator!).
